HPE has announced that it is growing its range of AI-driven infrastructure solutions by extending its predictive analytics tool, InfoSight, to HPE ProLiant, Synergy and Apollo servers.

The news will excite HPE data storage customers, who are already enjoying the benefits of Insight [is this supposed to be Infosight?] which was gained as part of HPE’s $1 billion acquisition of Nimble Storage last year.

Infosight analyses millions of sensors across a globally-connected installed base in order to gather operational intelligence from infrastructure which is then used to predict and prevent potential problems. InfoSight will offer insight on select parts failures to help IT teams make pre-emptive maintenance improvements. The tool can also offer alerts on server security concerns and will enable customers to view the status of their servers via a secure, cloud-based monitoring dashboard.

HPE’s full press release announcing it plans for Infosight can be viewed here.
